For centuries, Dragons and Metamorphs tore Dragon
Island apart with war, until a sorcerer created a horrible plague to
ravage the ‘morphs. But when Dee, a surviving Metamorph child, finds
himself free of the island—and the dragons’ imprisonment—he doesn’t
know how to control the disease running through his veins. As Dee
travels, the plague known as Decompose spreads, rotting all in its
path. Of the few who survive, many change into cannibals.
One—a young
witch—gives up her freedom to fight Dee, trying to stem the infection
that could destroy all life on Earth. As her mission grows desperate,
the dragons leave their island to help. But their help is not what we
would ask for. As the dragons grow in numbers, their new Queen begins
enslaving mankind. Rather than destroy the cannibals, she chooses
instead to make mankind rely on dragons for protection. But when Dee
escapes his second prison forty years later, secrets are exposed, and
a new side to the rogue metamorph revealed. Is he friend or foe?
