About the author
Lyubomir T. Gruyitch completed all his education (Primary to High
School, M. Eng., M. Sci. E. Eng., D. Sci.) in his native city of
Belgrade, Serbia, 1972. He was with the Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering, University of Belgrade, which he left as Full Professor
in 1992. He was AECI Professor of Control at the Department of
Electrical Engineering, University of Natal, Durban, R. South Africa
until 1993. Since then he has been University Professor at the
National Engineering School of Belfort / University of Technology
Belfort - Montbeliard. The Ministry of the National Education and
Research of France honored him Doctor Honoris Causa 1984.
Gruyitch has published 3 books, 4 textbooks, 11
sets of lecture notes (in English, French and Serb), one manual of
solved problems, one book translation from Russian, chapters in eight
scientific books, 127 scientific papers in scientific journals, 170
conference research papers and two educational papers. He is a
co-author of two scientific monographs in English, “Stability Domains”
published by Chapman Hall/CRC, Boca Raton, Florida, 2004, and "Large
Scale Systems Stability under Structural and Singular Perturbations",
Springer, Berlin, 1987. He is Honorary and Distinguished Member of
SAUM (Serbia), IEEE Life Senior Member, AIAA Member, ASME Member, and
SIAM Member (USA).
