| About the Book
When Daniel's brother David dies
on the cross next to Jesus, he can only think of revenge. An
important man dies mysteriously at the Ecclesia and a Roman tribune
orders Daniel to investigate. Although he enters the meeting place
of the Christians as a spy, Daniel soon finds himself being won over
by the gentle ways of the people he meets. For the first time in his
life, he learns to think of others. He makes friends with Stephen, a
young Greek, and Stephen's beautiful sister Cassandra. With
Cassandra, he feeds and clothes the poor. From Stephen and his
friends Peter, John, and James, Daniel learns about the life of
Jesus. Witnessing the kindness and the miracles around him, Daniel
is drawn more and more to the Christians and when his friend Stephen
is arrested, he risks his life to save him. The incident leads to
his own arrest and a confrontation with the Roman governor, forcing
Daniel to finally choose whether or not he will follow Jesus. His
brother David found redemption, but can Daniel believe in the grace
of God? The story of a man whose life was changed by Jesus Christ,
The Pardon is a universal tale for anybody who might have
