About the Book:
Ten Mistakes
Small Companies Make in Implementing Quality, and How to Correct Them
is written for the management and staff of small businesses. Its
purpose: to provide employees with a common “direction of thought” as
they work to initiate and implement a viable QualityAssurance program.
In my fifteen years
as a Quality professional, I’ve discovered that the recent move toward
better quality in American business has left many small businesses
out. I've seen this as a Quality Auditor, a Certified Quality
Manager, and as an ISO 9001-2000 transition Auditor.
In this short 21,000
word book, I "de-mystify" the Quality business, giving practical, real
life examples of how, where, and what a small QA and QC group should
be doing for small and mid-level companies. I outline real
value-added Quality work that is easy to understand and practice, and
I paint a Quality Assurance section that works for the bottom line,
not as a red ink budget item
