| About the Book
This is the story of two men, a white and an Apache, driven by
fate in the modern West. Descendants of famous historical figures
General George Crook and Geronimo, the men are as much at odds with
their own heritage as they are with each other. One tries to live up
to a name. The other tries to run away from it. Forced to share a
prison cell, the unlikely pair are at each other’s throats for three
long years. But then one is released—Daniel Boone Crook. Vowing
revenge against his cellmate, G-Mo-J, for perceived injustices,
Crook rounds up a wild bunch of partners to assist in the daring
robbery of an Indian casino and a hunt for a legendary Apache
treasure. It's a slam-bang, testosterone-filled plan that could go
wrong in any number of ways. As reckless as the action is, Crook has
always left himself a way out. What he didn't plan on was the
release of G-Mo-J. Like two freight trains barreling toward one
another on the same track, it's a collision of past and present that
can only lead to a Showdown at Apache Gold. |
