About the Book

“...gripping, unpredictable, realistic and believable.  You never know what’s going to happen next, and when it does, it feels like it’s happening to you.  A must read...” - Deborah Lawson, A.A.S.D.P.

“...Is it possible for human beings to be changed so completely that...we can forget those who love us and then, given the right “training”...be brought to a place where we can kill them?...By contemplating the world Susan Behm introduces to us, we might have a chance of not creating that world in the first place.”  -  Georgia Robertson, Ph.D.

“Civilized Savages is a powerful and frightening tale of survival and triumph.  This unflinching look at the inner workings of cult life shows the evil and depravity of those who would control others and the courage and sacrifice of those who choose freedom.  The terrible reality of Civilized Savages will remain indelibly imprinted onthe minds and souls of those who read it.”  -  Sharon Seagraves, B.A., English

“...a very compelling story....Good fiction makes you ask yourself if the story is possible in real life and Civilized Savages does just this.” -  Linda Clements, A.A.

“Finally, a powerful novel has been crafted for us to enjoy.  The layout, the imager, and the story line are strategically configured to satisfy even the most complex connoisseur of literary works.”  -  Terence Hamilton, B.A.A.
