| About the Book
Over the centuries, much has been written about the enigmatic
Book of Revelation, from many different viewpoints, biased by
Christian wants and desires, doctrinal and blind-faith filters,
and/or fear tactics. Time to clear away the garbage. Instead of
reading things in, Revelation simply examines the Christian
standard, the Greek New Testament, about the relationships between
Revelation and the rest of the New Testament, and gives
self-consistent findings from the Word itself. What is found? A very
different picture of Revelation than that professed by mainstream
Christianity. For one, the “Lamb” in Revelation was not Jesus, for
John used a different Greek word in Revelation than the one that he
used for Jesus in his Gospel. Another is that John’s use of “666”
related to an attitude rather than to a specific person. These
differences and much more, lost for whatever purposes in Christian
English translations, you will find in Revelation.
