| About the Book
Renaissance not
Retirement is for those men (and there are many!) who, upon
leaving their careers behind, fear that all meaningful existence is
over. These are men who have enough money to live, but not nearly
enough passion and energy to really live.
Using three-years’
worth of interviews, the author shares the experiences of successful
-- and some not-so-successful -- men who have reached retirement age
only to realize that they are not ready to call it quits on life. An
alternative to the conventional "story-book" retirement how-to,
Renaissance not Retirement shows readers how they can find a more
fulfilling, exciting and energetic life – a rebirth or renaissance of
sorts.
Packed with real-life case examples, readers will be treated to a
six-step procedure for their path to a new beginning. To jump-start
the process, the book includes 208 alternatives to traditional
retirement, check sheets, forms, and a guide to easy-to-get resources.
