About the Book:
What would you do if you were offered the throne of Russia?
Russian Prince Andre Novikov faces this question while visiting Nazi
Germany in 1935. He undertakes this visit for British intelligence as
a secret mission to spy on the Nazi war buildup in Germany, but during
the trip an ex-lover, now a famous Nazi leader, offers him the Russian
throne if and when Germany attacks Russia.
The trip forces Andre into a world of lies and deceit in which he
faces the possibility of being betrayed by those he loves.
Not only is this a story of what the world faces in 1935, it is
also a mirror which looks back to the past and forward to the future.
The novel probes the question of whether love, fidelity, and
understanding can survive in a world faced with the chaos of an
impending world war.
