About the Book:
Michael
Whitlow Jr. grew up with an unsolved mystery. His parents, Mike and
Kathleen Whitlow, were doing well in Manhattan until Mike’s
unexpected death. Devastated, Kathleen took her young son and left
Queens to make a new life in Arkansas with Mike’s family. The manner
of Mike Sr.’s death hung over everyone’s head—heart attack, or
murder?
Life
goes on for Mike Jr. and his mom. A family penchant for humor helps.
But the
mystery just won’t lay dead. On his first job, at his father’s old
advertising agency, Michael finds a colleague murdered in the very
office that once belonged to his father. As Michael searches the
files for clues with the help of a trusted co-worker, the CEO’s
villainous son drags the underworld into their lives.
But all
is not grim. From Mike’s aunt and uncle, to the characters who come
to advertise with the agency, to Joe Boyd and his bumbling
gangsters, solving crime never had so much comic relief. Stir in a
stalking rapist and a lieutenant who’s heard it all. Enjoy.
