| About the Book
At 16 years old she is
diagnosed, at 18 she loses sight in one eye and ultimately loses
hope. One snowy winter morning her despair appears to be lifting,
but maybe it isn't. After realizing her life has changed forever,
she fears being disabled in an unfavorable society and sets out to
live disability free - the impossible.
After learning about her disease, herself, society and overall how
to soar above the odds in what she calls, “ The disabled arena of
life.” She finds an undying power and learns how to play the game of
endurance - Mind Matter. With her new found power she sets out to
find home plate and nothing can stop her. When employers turn her
away, she keeps searching for employment, when society beats her
down, she fights back and when her health becomes a struggle, she
struggles against it.
Then somewhere in between all of her struggling and fighting she
finds time to dream. When she starts building her dream, she says, ”
I have to give it my all, I can't allow MS to stand in my way.”
First comes the diagnosis, then she learns to fight and live to the
best of her ability.
Although she lives with the disease every day she finds time to live
out her dream, and reach above the odds.
