About the Book
A MATRIX MODEL APPROACH
FOR CHILDREN WITH ATYPICAL BEHAVIORS
"All things are possible" with Heart, Courage, and a Brain.
Many "challenging" children do not benefit from traditional therapy and medication alone, when working to address essential developmental needs, is not a cure. A new approach is needed. It is called The Matrix Model.
The Matrix Model provides an innovative, creative, and well-researched method of working with children who exhibit neurological dysfunction, psychiatric disorders, or atypical behaviors; children who otherwise have a high probability of being incarcerated or institutionalized.
Four elements comprise The Matrix Model: Attachment Disorder, Dyslexia, Multiple Intelligences, and The Feldenkrais Method ®. They are used in ways that are specific to each child's unique problems. It is within these four elements of learning that new options originate and a child takes form and develops.
"The Matrix Model is a sensible, well-thought-out strategy for addressing one of the most complex maladies of the human condition-aberrant behavior." -Ron Davis, founder of the Davis Dyslexia Association International and author of The Gift of Dyslexia.
