| About the Book
Jay, a boy turning five, is having trouble falling asleep the
night before his first day of kindergarten. He doesn't know what to
expect. As he tries to sleep, he is taken on a magical trip to visit
his school by a little yellow bird named Sunny. Together, they see
what school is like and watch children interact with the teacher and
each other. After returning home, Jay falls fast asleep. He goes to
school the next day, and when he gets home, he tells his mom,
“School's really cool!”
