About the Book:
During their final year at USC, three African
American males form a bond with the Caucasian owner of a community bar
to find the funds to pay their tuition and other college expenses.
They become a family as each finds a way to heal the pain and
disappointments of the past, and repair their broken hearts and
wounded souls. They learn the true meaning of friendship, spiritual
growth, self awareness, and loving as they assist each other to
navigate through a world filled with emotional landmines, family
betrayals, and intense self-doubt. For each, it is a defining moment
in their success or failure as human beings and future professionals.
In years to come, they realize that the experience was one of the most
intimate, personal, and profound journeys of their individual lives.
About the Author:
The Limousine Club is Diana
Beard-Williams' second fiction novel. The first, Unfinished
Business, was released in April 2005 and tells the story of three
ambitious and talented women who face love, betrayal, and forgiveness
over a period of thirty years. Diana's freelance columns on social and
educational issues have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, L.A.
Daily News, Upscale Magazine, and other newspapers around
the country. A compilation of her columns was released in 1989 under
the title The Race Card. Diana is a motivational speaker and
has a Masters Degree in Education. She will soon have her doctorate
degree in Organizational Management.
