| About the Book
Orphaned at sixteen, Eddie Chance was sent to live with an uncle
who hates him and an aunt who hates just about everything else.
He endures for two years, but at eighteen, he leaves his home in New
York with a dream of hitchhiking to Florida to grow oranges.
After weeks of traveling, Eddie walks into Wixton, Georgia. He
finds himself drawn into the lives of the residents there, but he
soon
learns that not everyone believes in Southern hospitality.
About
the Author
Wayne Brown is a life-long Georgian. He grew up in Blakely and
graduated from the University of Georgia in 1993. He works as a
pharmacist in Valdosta and lives in Hahira with his wife Jennifer
and
son Jacob.
Wayne enjoys reading and spends most of his spare time writing. He
has written several short stories and is currently working on his
second novel.
