About the Book

Have you ever wondered what causes juvenile delinquency? Is your child beyond control, or exhibiting problem behaviors you feel powerless to correct?

Written by a juvenile deputy probation officer, How to Raise a Juvenile Delinquent offers a unique, honest perspective and explores the warning signs that lead to disaster. These warning signs seem harmless when a child is young; however, as a child grows into adolescence, these problems can progress to delinquency and cause major family disruption.

Sometimes a parent unknowingly contributes to a child's unruly behavior. This book identifies ten of the most common problem traits exhibited by parents of incarcerated youth, and explores basic concepts of child rearing, including proper levels of supervision and control.

How to Raise a Juvenile Delinquent will empower you to be more proactive and become comfortable again with your parental authority. Whether you are thinking about having children or already are a parent, this book is the antidote for early childhood behavioral problems that lead to delinquency.
