About the Book:
Since the times of the apostles, much of
Christian history has been lost. Irrespective of the best human
efforts, it cannot be retrieved. The fragments of information that
remain can, however, be woven into an interesting and suggestive
discourse. A recent account by Professor Jenkins relating to the
history of the Church of the East (The Lost History of Christianity)
is one such example. An equally intriguing story might be pieced
together regarding the practices held dear by the apostolic church,
and which have come down to us today.
In the present account, I have taken the custom
of the apostles and Christ regarding the worship of the Creator God on
the Sabbath and I then show something of the changes that have taken
place since antiquity and unravel God's ideal for the Christian church
today.
