About the Book:

This is the second volume of the genealogical history of the Godbold family.

Volume I covered the first five generations with supporting data and a discussion of the progenitor's life.

Volume II covers the first five generations with no supporting data and presents the succeeding six generations with supporting data such as census records, court records, wills, etc.

Volume II also covers the descendants of five Godbold men who cannot be linked directly to the progenitor, Old John Godbold. These men are Ely Godbold, John Godbold born 1826, Gustavious Sidney Godbold, Robert Lee Godbold and James H. Godbold. Each of these sections have separate indexes.

About the Author:

Edward Lewis Godbold, Sr. embarked on his hobby of family history research in 1997. His interest was piqued by a hand-drawn family tree given to him by his father that listed no ancestors beyond his Godbold grandparents. Over the next ten years, he was able, with the help of many friends and family members, to develop this Godbold lineage.
