About the Author
Currently pursuing an MFA in Writing at Stony Brook University at
Southampton, mentored by authors Frank McCourt, Kaylie Jones, Lou Ann
Walker, Roger Rosenblatt, Ursula Hegi, and Jules Feiffer, Janet
Berg has been a contributing writer-reporter for Dan's Papers
of the Hamptons for over ten years--a job that has afforded her many
exciting opportunities, from flying with stunt pilots to greeting
President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, and
interviewing rock musicians Ray Davies of the Kinks, Roger McGuinn of
the Byrds, Robby Kreiger of the Doors, Marianne Faithful, and Eric
Burdon.
Other notables on Janet’s interview list are Bobbi Brown,
sought-after make-up artist, actress Isabella Rossellini, fashion
designer Shoshanna Lonstein, Chris Langan, the “bona fide genius” on
ABC's “20/20” and the man with the highest IQ in the world, politician
Ralph Nader, and the author of Angela's Ashes, Frank McCourt.
Enough with the name-dropping. Janet Berg has worked for over ten
years as a substitute teacher with elementary schoolchildren, and has
recently completed a children's chapter book and an adult novel.
