| About the Book
A body is discovered on university
property in what appears to be a lovers' secret rendezvous. The
victim's smeared lipstick and red lingerie lead police to believe it
was a crime of passion. Someone’s girl? No. The victim is a married
man and the Assistant DA. As Chief of Security at Farleigh Technical
State. Perry is compelled to find the killer. Uncomfortable with
dissecting the man's life, Perry fears his own prejudices may taint
his vision of justice. To unravel Wilkinson’s death, he must come to
terms with men of color living dual lives. He comes to realize that
justice must be blind and that pain, suffering, and loneliness have
no borders.
About the Author
Deames W. Bynum is the author of Renaissance Murder, first in
the series of Perry Nash Mysteries set on an historical black
college. Deames attempts to celebrate the community of black college
lives and at the same time echo the everyday decisions made by people
of color grounded in practicality and grace. Only by balancing both,
can we hope to find the true North.
