"Science begins in wonder and curiosity. Geeta Pati's imaginative
rendering of the strange world revealed by modern physics brings it to
life for young people."

About the Book
Finny’s Voyage Through the Universe
recounts the events surrounding the “Big Bang,” in a manner that is
captivating and educational to children of all ages. It’s a story of
the exciting adventure of Finny, a curious fish, as he travels
through space and time with his guide, Mr. Guru, a supercomputer.
Finny witnesses the Big Bang explosion, where the very first moment
of time and space was born. “A day without yesterday,” announces Mr.
Guru as Finny watches the Inflation with awe as our microscopic
universe ballooned out in less than a blink of the eye. Finny sees
the tiny energetic particles known as the Elementary Particles
(Photons, Gluons, X-Particles, Quarks, Electrons, Neutrinos, and
others), which are the basic components of the universe, appear on
the scene. He hears the conversation and sees the activities of
these energetic particles as they combine and create new particles
(Protons, Neutrons, Deuterium, etc.), eventually leading up to the
formation of the Hydrogen and Helium atoms and finally, to the
creation of the stars and the galaxies. With the assistance and
explanations of Mr. Guru, Finny and young readers learn about the
Big Bang.
