About the Book

We stand today amid an epidemic of diabetes. 74.8 million Americans either have diabetes or are pre-diabetic. What was once called “adult-onset diabetes” is now commonly found among preteens. Since the 1930’s, this disease has taken millions of American lives. Science tells us it’s genetic. Certain “factors” contribute to your “risk” of developing the disease. While we dump billions of dollars into research for cures, no one yet has determined its root cause. What if the cause was already known? What if you found out that all along those who should be protecting you knew what triggers the disease? What if the determining factors the “authorities” use to make decisions about the health of the American public had more to do with corporate profits than with scientific data? Or worse, what if the data presented to our decision makers was purposely manipulated to the advantage of lobbyists for the food industry? Connecting the Dots depicts a man’s journey as he overcomes the nightmare of Diabetes. Using his skills to understand it as a process, he not only manages to ‘control’ it; he actually stumbles upon the root causes. Digging deeper through years of scientific research he finds that this information has been known for decades. Yet no one has done anything to bring it out. This book attempts to expose the government cover-up and the truth behind the real causes of diabetes. While science may say that this disease is genetic, the author examines the possibility that the food industry is manipulating data in order to make a heavy profit. There will be little doubt in your mind after reading this that we are all at risk. We are a generation of guinea pigs, comfortably consuming whatever is thrown at us by an industry motivated solely by profits and market share. When you Connect the Dots, as you no doubt will, this story will anger you. It may also, hopefully, drive you to action.

About the author

Leonard Deddo has always been passionate about applying his skills in order to improve products, refine processes and solve problems. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, he spent thirty years doing just that. Little did he know that when he was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2000, it would be these very skills that would allow him to save his own life. Leonard applied the same methods he had practiced all along to his health. As he applied Quality Control Techniques to the management of diabetes, it became apparent that his results were far different than those of most diabetics he met. Not only was he able to achieve normal blood glucose readings as he worked to refine these methods he, almost accidentally, stumbled upon what actually triggers Type 2 Diabetes. After years of research he exposes for the first time not only the TRUTH about the foods we eat, but the corruption and greed that led us to an epidemic that never had to occur.
