About the author

Kawanna Levert Hagood, a Florida Metropolitan University business graduate, is a native of Washington, D.C. whose creative career has spanned twenty years. Ms. Hagood's career began in seventh grade when she wrote her first play. She has since worked both in front of and behind the camera, performed in live theater, and written children's books. She wrote the screenplay for The Forgotten Woman, which was entered into The South Florida Screenwriters Guild competition in Miami, Florida. She has appeared in Ace Venture Pet Detective and Moon Over Miami, the series. She has also appeared in Tired of Being Alone and A Good Man is Hard to Find, a David Payton gospel play. Now she is embracing her passion: writing children's books.
