About the Book

Charlie is an eleven year-old boy who hates his current school because he has few friends. When his father tells them that a job promotion will require him to work in another town, it forces the family to make a really big decision. They decide to move.

To Charlie, this seems fantastic, as it is a chance for him to go to a new school and make new friends—in other words, to make a fresh new start.

Charlie is excited about the move. He loves the area where his family has moved, and is settling in perfectly. However, when his mischievous personality leads him to discover a hidden building, he comes across the town's biggest and darkest mystery.
