About the Calendar:

As a community, we enjoy being around each other listening and telling our stories of first lovers, breakups or the exact moment you realized you were gay.  We have stories of that first kiss, or how your mother thinks you got "it" from her side of the family, like it's some kind of a unique talent. I personally believe I got it from both sides but I just let her think it's all from her side. Our lives are full of wonderful stories some funny, some sad but all interesting and the yourgayhistory.com website was created to share our stories with each other and to find friends and loved one from our past. The thought behind the website was for people to tell their personal gay history; like Charley who was married for 30 years to a woman, who knew he was gay, yet they had 2 children together. Or, my friend for over 20 years, Liz, who with her girlfriend last year had their first child and are now pregnant with their second. Their stories are all unique and incredible; some of you may relate to them on a personal level or have similar stories of your own. We want to hear your story, your life. We all have had a part in creating and shaping our gay history in everything we have done in the past and I believe it is time for us as a community to start telling our stories and sharing them with people from all over the world.
