| About the Book
A troubled veteran, trained as a sniper and CIA operative, learns
to cope with his own demons as a result of his transgressions in
Vietnam.
A high-school girl, raped on prom night by the football
team’s star quarterback, tries to regain her self respect.
A single incident between the two unleashes dark forces, murder
under the most scandalous conditions, and the conviction of four
prominent youths in a small Mississippi town. As a shocked community
struggles to rebound, the lives of its young people lie in the
balance. But how can the rebuilding of community and individual
lives begin?
While addressing, in absorbing and satisfying detail, the current
pathological marketing orientation that negatively influences
today’s youth, The Man From Bandera reflects the changing nature of
social morality in America, the importance of counseling and support
to facilitate the healing process, and the need for today’s youth to
make responsible choices.
