About
the Author
Shaka Finnell was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She is
the youngest of three kids. From an early age, she was intrigued by
poetry writing. Over the years she has written and published many
poems, which include A Gift To Life, Daddy Dearest, Good-bye and Love
Can Do. She thanks her father for her inspiration to write, a direct
result of seeing him write. In 2003, she was presented with an Editors
Choice Award for outstanding achievement in poetry.
