About the Book:
A memoir through poetry that spans four decades:
the 70's, 80's, 90's and the new millennium. Pulled from childhood
memories and the pages of personal journals, the poems reveal personal
turmoil, and also what is going on in the world around her. Her life
parallels that of a young girl in the 1920's who goes from long hair
to a bob, who is no longer confined, who has finally become her own.
So What if I Bleed relives love, fear,
abuse, rejection, religion, past lives, historical events,
disappointments and high ideals of a girl coming of age and then
growing up, all while pulling you into her time so you feel right
there with her.
So What if I Bleed is a reflection on how
we can move on from our past and release it.
