| About the Book
Lenny Beck is a functioning drunk, which wouldn't be so bad if he weren't also a cop, a husband, and a father. And it's all going to hit the fan. Lenny is about to face some problems that would be tough enough to handle sober: the loss of his wife and kids; his brother's new gay lifestyle; his mother's penchant for second story window cleaning; and worst of all, his mislaid libido. Tricking his father into a nursing home was a bonus. To top it off, there is a sudden and unexpected surge of relentless guilt.
While he refuses to recognize the truth about his self-destructive tendencies, he begins to question his reason for being. He may be irresponsible and delusional, but heroism and survival instincts are still in the mix. Lenny Beck's personal life vies for attention with blood, smoke, street vendors, whores, and the smell of death for a most disturbing outcome.
