About the Book:
Your house is the
single most important thing you own. Yet, there are many aspects to
your home, inside and out, that most homeowners aren’t familiar with.
But never fear: Protecting Your Greatest Asset has all the
knowledge you need to keep your home in tip-top shape and increase its
value.
Did you know that the
rubber hoses on your washing machine wear down over years and can
burst, possibly flooding your home? Change them out each year or
replace them with steel-braided, no-burst hoses. Do you find small,
black granular debris in your downspout? This can mean the asphalt
shingles on your roof are starting to deteriorate. Creating a
maintenance schedule for your home will help you catch small flaws
like these before they build up and cause a major tragedy.
Protecting Your
Greatest Asset includes an outline of all the areas that need to
be checked and how often they need to be checked. In addition, you'll
find a maintenance and inspection log in the back of the book to fill
out as items are checked over time.
Your home will be more
beautiful and comfortable than ever!
About
the Author:
Many years ago,
Christie Perry left for work every day in a silk suit, high heels and
a briefcase. Today, she finds herself in torn jeans and a t-shirt,
holding a hammer, nail gun or paint roller. With her bachelor's in
math and great corporate career, many people ask why she decided to
leave its benefits behind and remodel homes. The answer is, she enjoys
it! Helping others with something they can't do is very rewarding.
Perry runs her own home remodeling company and enjoys going to work
everyday.
Seeing things
overlooked by most home owners and home disasters that could be
avoided by a regular home maintenance inspection, she now wants to
teach you to protect the investment you have the most control over -
your home.
