| About the Book
This collection is a
definitive compilation of Casey Hutson’s best poetic works to date.
It combines two elements in a symbiotic harmony: her words and her
photographs. Her words are life: from the philosophical, to the
political, and right down to the rawest, loveliest, dirtiest
emotions a person and a soul can feel. Her photographs allow us to
enter a black and white world where her feelings aren’t just skin
deep, they are written right there on the flesh in heavy black ink
for us to see and feel.
Here, in
poetic rhythm, we are touched by a deep truth that is so often hidden
from us. The madness of day to day life and the fine line between
insanity and love are caught in a blur and as the wind settles we are
allowed to feel the sympathy and the sorrow only a simple poem can
give. This is the Pretty Side of Interesting.
