About the Book:
This is not your typical poetry
book, nor Curt your typical poet. Some of his poems are touching and
insightful. Others are raw and uncomfortable. Every poem holds a
mirror to our own lives.
This collection of poems was
written in a desperate period of life when the focus of what is
important became clear. Every poem tells a story, which is what poetry
should be about. All poems are heartfelt, taking a deep look at life.
About the Author:
Curtis Dean Shoemake was brought
up on various military bases across the United States. He served four
years in the Navy in Washington D.C. and Sicily. Having been an
electrician in the Portland area for over twenty-five years, he now
lives with his daughter in North Bend, Oregon. His favorite poet, of
course, is Bukowski.
