About the Book:
People like to tell big stories about their lives
in quiet voices. Loud Whispers is a short story voyage across
the USA, into Europe, along the beaches and harbors of Long Island,
and into the streets and bars of New York City. A student of the human
condition, your friendly writer leads the way into places and minds
where we normally don’t or won’t go; into a wide range of characters
from all walks of life.
About the Author:
Michael Domino was born in New York City at a
Salvation Army Hospital. His father was an engineer and businessman,
and his mother graduated from Hunter College in Manhattan with a
degree in English. His upbringing in Suburban Long Island, although
not wealthy, was rich in the characters he was exposed to and
situations he found himself in, as a new American society developed on
former potato fields and farms, which became home for returning WWII
vets and their young families. Michael is married and has three
daughters, and spends his time on Long Island writing and wandering
about with his Blackberry and digital camera in hand just in case he
hears a Loud Whisper.
