About the Book:
Misery loves company.
In June, 2000, Setsuko Takahashi, a successful, attractive, single Japanese woman, planned a
special dinner at a very exclusive restaurant to announce her
pregnancy to the unsuspecting father of her baby. Not surprisingly,
the meeting did not go well. Later that evening, Setsuko did the
unthinkable and drowned herself in the ocean, taking her unborn child
with her.
Seven years later, a captain with the Seattle
fire department leaves his twenty year reunion early and is never seen
again. The next night, a prominent, gay, black defense attorney
mysteriously disappears after leaving a popular night-spot. They are
certainly not the first to vanish without a trace, and they will
hardly be the last.
In fact, these incidents have become quite
commonplace along the Southern California coastline, and it's really
got the police stymied, because no clues are ever left behind. Now,
their only hope of solving these cases rests on questionable
contributions from some very unlikely volunteers. They are about to
find a whole new meaning to the saying, misery loves company.
About the Author:
Larry is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and
a Vietnam veteran. His specialties were in the law enforcement and
industrial security arenas. After leaving the military, he was able to
use his experience and training working for a major defense contractor
and a luxury hotel. Up until then, the majority of his writing
experience was through the publication of several professional
pamphlets and editorials. For the past seventeen years, Larry has been
working in the health care industry—mostly in sales and marketing.
