About the Book:
Ever
wonder where the yoke-breaking power of your music department has
gone? Do you sometimes scratch your head and wonder why other music
ministries display such quality and excellence in their presentations?
Are you frustrated at rehearsals and unmotivated to continue with the
choir? Ever ask yourself, “Is there something I can do besides being
involved with the crazy folks in music ministry?” I asked myself that
at one point, but then God began to reveal to me that His precious
music ministries are rapidly losing their glory because they do not
know what pleases Him; so many have come to minister to Him in song,
but have neither been called nor appointed. He said, “They are tacking
my name into the lyrics, but are geared more toward entertainment of
men.” He said that many are in music ministry because it gives them an
opportunity to be seen and advance personal goals. Many have walked
away from God’s heart and now are only concerned about earthly,
temporal rewards. Furthermore, many music departments are suffering
from disunity, disorganization, broken fellowships, massive egos, a
bad case of “Look at me,” and they try to minister over all of it
without order and reconciliation; how can God be pleased?
This
book was written to expose the strategies that Satan uses to wreak
havoc against praise and worship and the numbskulls that allow him to
work through them. Nobody wants to talk about the little messes in
music ministry, but we must understand that that is where the big
messes come from. It will take you into the boardroom of one of
Satan’s strategic planning meetings. It will expose thirty different
choir personalities such as Wrong Uniform Eunice, Dozing Donnell,
and Have My Say Sara. It will uncover trifling musicians,
hungry leaders, and those that are influenced by the opposite sex.
So
grab a cola and a La z Boy; you are in for an eye-opening experience
that exposes the negative undercurrent in music ministry with a
mixture of seriousness, humor, and godly insight, wisdom, and
instruction.
