About the Book:
Children need a strong foundation to build self-confidence and a love
for learning. One of the most important things you can do for your
children is get involved and communicate with their teachers. To
succeed academically, they need attention, not just from teachers and
schools, but from Mom and Dad. Many children today don’t get the
attention and help they need at home.
Calling All Parents is one mother's reflection on her own
experiences as a child and now as a parent, backed up by research that
proves what should be obvious: that parents who are involved in their
children's school, who take responsibility for their children's
education, help their children succeed.
About the Author:
Sabrina Scott was born and raised in Queens, NY. She has since moved
to Shaker Heights, OH, with her husband and two children where she
became a substitute teacher for a few years. It was during that time
that she noticed the lack of parent involvement in the public school
system and felt something needed to be done. Calling All Parents,
truly a labor of love, is her first book. She is passionate about the
education and success of our youth today.
