POETRY BOOKS
Llumina
publishes poetry as well as other types of books. As a
poetry book publisher, we take special pride in helping authors to perfect
their work, and we've created an imprint especially for poetry book publishing
that reflects the emotion evoked in many of these works: Heartstrings
Poetry.
We do free editing evaluations on poetry as we do on all other types of
books. We know that poetry is intensely personal, and we rarely
recommend a full edit as we don't want to change the meaning. However,
we've yet to receive a manuscript for a poetry book that doesn't have typos or minor
errors in punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and grammar (it's/its,
you're/your) etc. For this reason, we often recommend proofreading.
If the manuscript has fewer than 10,000 words, there is a flat rate for
this of $100. In addition to the usual editing, when dealing with
poetry we also look at meter, rhythm, and rhyme.
