ISBN is a shortcut for International
Standard Book Numbers. These are used to identify your title. No other
book has that particular ISBN. In fact, if your book is printed on paper
and as an eBook, it needs two different ISBNs. All libraries and
booksellers, online and off, use ISBNs to track your book. ISBNs
are assigned in blocks of ten to publishers (10 numbers for $220)
by R.R. Bowker, the official ISBN agency in the United
States.
