HOW WELL IS MY BOOK SELLING?

            The one burning question every author has is, “How well is my book selling?”  This question is easily answered for any author published by Llumina Press.  Llumina Press distributes most of the books it publishes through Ingram Books.  Ingram Books has a convenient and easy to use service to obtain sales information on any book it distributes.   It is an automated telephone inquiry (Llumina authors can get the number by e-mailing them at ingramnumber@llumina.com ). 

After the short introduction, use the telephone’s keypad to enter the book’s ISBN followed by the pound sign (#).  The ISBN is located on page 2 of all books published by Llumina Press.  Ignore the dashes (─) and enter the ISBN as a single number.

            Next, a recorded voice repeats the number entered for the ISBN.  Enter “1” to confirm the number, and then enter “3” to get information regarding the number of books in stock, orders, and most important to the author, the number of books sold to date.  Be prepared.  The message will be stated only once, and there is no option to have it repeated.

            Consider making this telephone call at night.  The Ingram Books telephone number is not toll-free.  Long distance telephone rates are less expensive at night than during daytime hours.  The entire process will take about two minutes telephone time.
