It's often difficult for authors of self-published books to get the
publicity they need. That's why Llumina has begun to develop its own
aggressive cooperative marketing and distribution programs. These
programs include cooperative mailings to independent bookstores across the
United States and Canada, submission of titles to large publishing houses,
and author interviews on your webpage. See below for details.
Cooperative
Marketing and Distribution: The cost of sending large
mailings to bookstores can be prohibitive. But when authors split
the costs, they come down from the stratosphere. Your listing in our
catalog includes a color picture of your book cover and 100 words about it
including excerpts from your reviews.
Submission
of Titles to Large Publishing Houses: All writers want
their books picked up by the big publishers, but they have grown so large
that it's almost impossible for unknowns to approach them. If your
book has been favorably reviewed and you are ready to make the leap,
Llumina's marketing department will help you get it read by editors at
some of the largest houses. Under development.
Offset
Printing and Distribution: If your POD book takes off and you
want to improve the profit margins and marketability of the book, you may
want to do an offset run. This lowers the
printing cost per book and can make it possible to offer distributors the
full 55% discount.
Independent
Authors Radio Show: These programs will air on
local radio stations; the cost to be shared by the participating
authors. For a small fee an author can get a ten minute interview
about his or her book that will be broadcast to tens of thousands of
listeners. This is still under development.
