There are several variables that affect the price of your finished book: the format, the number of pages, and the distributor discount.  If your manuscript is already formatted at one of the sizes in the drop down list, then you can insert the page count. If it hasn’t been formatted, then insert the word count and choose a format for the book to get an estimate of prices and costs. 

 

There are several formats to choose from: 6 paperback formats with black/white interiors, 2 paperback formats with full-color interiors, 3 laminated hardbacks with black/white interiors, and 2 cloth covered hardbacks with dustjackets and black/white interiors.

The paper depends on the size of the format: 

55-pound acid-free creme-white (natural) text paper is used for:
5 x 8, 5.5 x 8.5, 6 x 9 (black/white text)

 

50-pound acid-free white text paper is used for:

7.5 x 9.25, 7 x 10, 8.25 x 11 (black/white text)

 

80-pound uncoated white text paper is used for:
8.5 x 8.5, 8.5 x 11 (full-color text)

As an author, you will receive discounted pricing on your book. These are the prices you’ll pay for different quantities, and is based on a discount from the list price. You can buy a single book or as many as you need.  As the quantities go up, the pricing goes down. If you should want to print in the thousands, we can arrange offset printing, which will bring your cost per book way down.
